Pension Sonntag

Here, we don't sleep luxuriously, but well.

That's us .

Klotzsche is a quiet, green district in the north of Dresden, approximately seven to eight kilometres from the historic city centre. Situated on the edge of the Dresden Heath, it combines natural recreation with good accessibility – ideal for those who like it relaxed but close to the city.

🌳 Location

Our guesthouse is quietly located, but conveniently situated on the edge of the Dresden Heath. The city centre can be reached in just 15 to 20 minutes by tram or S-Bahn. Ideal for anyone who wants to discover Dresden's sights and enjoy peace and quiet in the evenings.

🛏️ Amenities

Our non-smoking rooms are simply, cleanly and cosily furnished. Each has its own bathroom with shower and toilet – perfect for those who like things uncomplicated and comfortable. Here you’ll find everything you need to feel at home, without any fuss.

Budget-conscious

For guests on a smaller budget, we also offer rooms with shared bathrooms. They are well-maintained, practical, and provide everything you need for a pleasant stay. A fair choice for anyone who prefers to collect experiences rather than pay too much for sleep.

Good to know .

To ensure your stay with us is as pleasant as possible, we have compiled the most important information regarding payment, tourist tax, and house rules for you. Whether you are travelling for leisure or business – a quick look at these guidelines will have you well-prepared.

Tourist tax?!

As an accommodation provider, we are required to collect a 6 % accommodation tax on the price of the stay and pay it to the City of Dresden. Guests under the age of 27 who are on a study trip are exempt – please complete the registration form.

Payment

Payment is usually made in cash. Savings banks and banks are located nearby. For corporate clients and professionals, we can offer alternative payment methods by arrangement. Card payments are planned.

📜 House Rules

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. Please be considerate of other guests and our neighbours – especially from 10:30 PM, when our night-time quiet hours begin. Our house rules help to make the stay pleasant for everyone.

Key...? Klotzsche!

The place was first documented in 1309 under the name „Kloiczowe“. On 14 April 1883, it finally received its current spelling: Klotzsche.

Up until the 19th century, the inhabitants lived mainly from agriculture. Testaments to this past are the Old Church and several listed half-timbered houses, which still shape the image of Altklotzsche today.

1935 was a significant year: Dresden Airport opened in Klotzsche – still a striking landmark today, not least because of the widely visible water tower. In the same year, Klotzsche received town rights before being incorporated into the city of Dresden in 1950.

Today, Klotzsche presents a versatile picture: industry can be found in the north, villas characterise the area around the station, and between them are residential areas with prefabricated buildings – and in the historic village centre, the charm of bygone eras with half-timbering and history is encountered once more.
